Automatic Oil Delivery

Automatic Delivery is Easy, Convenient and FREE! If You’re Not Using It, You’re Missing Out!

Automatic delivery helps prevent run-outs

When you’re on automatic delivery, we manage your fuel deliveries so you don’t have to. You have one less thing to worry about. We keep track of your fuel use and when you will need a delivery. Instead of having to call us every time you need to refill your oil tank, you won’t have to do a thing because we automatically fill your tank.

Even if a Nor’easter is on the way or we’re gripped by a prolonged cold spell, we plan extra deliveries and make sure you have plenty of fuel in plenty of time. When temperatures are more moderate and you use less fuel, the time between deliveries is longer.

No. Contrary to this common misconception about automatic delivery, you won’t use more. We can only replace what you’ve already used. An oil tank is like a teapot. Full is full!

Absolutely not! Daily changes in wholesale prices make this impossible, not to mention that we’d have to reschedule and juggle our delivery routes. Besides, if we delayed deliveries, people would run out of fuel. That’s what we’re trying to prevent!

Our computerized tracking system contains your fuel-use history, as well as day-to-day temperatures, which we measure by degree-days. Based on this information, we know when your tank is around one-quarter full, which is when we’ll schedule your delivery.

Nothing, but here are three reasons why you may prefer automatic delivery instead.

  1. If your tank gauge is faulty, you could get a false reading.
  2. If you have an underground tank, you have to keep “sticking” it to check your fuel level.
  3. If a sudden cold snap hits, you could use more fuel in a shorter time than you intended or than you realize.
